This red dot sight is even compatible with night-vision equipment to further extend its range of uses. This micro red dot sight features 1,000 hours of battery life on a single CR2032 battery with 11 different illumination settings that can be quickly cycled through for use at night or on a bright day.

Adjusting the zero of the dot is made easy with the 1/2 MOA audible click adjustments that are protected by aluminum caps. Alternatively, the mount is removable and features mounting options for other standard microdot riser mounts, so you can customize the height and co-witness with your iron sights. Included is a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail mount with this red dot sight, so you can attach it to your rifle right out of the box in a matter of seconds and head to the range to get it sighted in. This is a plus when having to get on the rifle quickly and when in unorthodox shooting positions.The Classic Series™ proves that entry-level optics don’t have to be poor-quality optics. He demonstrates how much he can move his eye toward and away from the optic and not have any shadow. The eye relief is stated to be 2.7 inches but Rob’s experience is that it’s pretty forgiving. It comes with eight different configurations for setting up the mount, so whether you have an AR, AK, or PDW, you’ll be set.Įye relief: the 3x MicroPrism has an adjustable diopter. It’s a ¼ MOA click and you get 80 MOA of adjustment. Windage and elevation are tool adjustable. The 3x MicroPrism has 13 brightness settings. If the battery goes down, you still have the aiming point inside it. (Rob examined the Primary Arms SLx 1x MicroPrism in an earlier video.) This 3x has the ACSS Raptor in it. Primary Arms MicroPrisms use an etched reticle. Rob feels it’s a good fit as part of defensive gear for home defense but if you want the magnification for work around/outside your home, around a vehicle, or for a patrol rifle in a rural environment, it’s impressive. But having worked extensively with the Primary Arms SLx 3x MicroPrism, Rob can state that it does not slow him down in close quarters. Rob was at first skeptical of this as he has spent a lot of time looking through fixed-magnification red-dot sights, specifically fixed 4x, and did not find them useful at close range. The optic is three times magnified – it’s not a 3x magnifier it’s built in. He and other instructors used one on the 2022 PDN Training Tour.
